Alhamdulillah, today is a very special day to me.
In the morning, I woke up like a potato bag moving from my room to other room.
But as I saw my brother asking me to made a breakfast, I became so excited that I made a very delicious fried rice for him and we ate it together in a joy. ^^

after breakfast, we gather along for him watching tv while im working with my Ipad to study more about english vocabulary by reading a lot of article,. Oh yeah, yesterday i was thinking about getting an IBT toefl test so I can get an english score that required to enter lpdp scholarship. From ms.Gita I got to know that the range of time I submit my application in LPDP until She finished thewhole process would require around 4 months! OMG! I dont have that much time, because my dream college in UNSW will be closing their application door soon on this April!

So, instead of focusing to get a letter of acceptance (LOA) that ms. Gita said would be a "conditional LOA", she suggest me to take an IBT toefl test while waiting for the 25th february IELTS. So, I called educational office named "Alfalink" to get me the nearest schedule for toefl IBT, and unfortunately, It will only be held on 23rd ferbruary!!! And that Scheduled date is all the same throughout Indonesia!

Later, I was thinking about taking Ielts test in another place than Makassar, and I found out that these couple of months ago, two way tickets from and to Makassar  - Denpasar  is in a great bargain! So I called the IDP office in Denpasar, and they told me that the nearest schedule for ielts would be on 18th January (but as today is already 16 Jan, so the registration time is already expired), next would be on 1st February, and 23rd! so Im planning on studying hard and get a ticket to Bali, just to take an IELTS test on this 1st of February. i hope I can succeed in this... Amien. U,u

I've almost forget to write something in here!
actually today I'd like to write the translation of a great song titled "let it be", but since i don't have much time, so I feel like I want to do it later.

Have you ever heard about "mestakung" or "semesta mendukung"?
well, it's a word that Indonesian people use when everything is going really well on a fast track, because we are so determined in achieving something.

Today i've got an email from jakarta with some attachment to fulfill so I can enter a university of my dream in Australia. and they even promise that they would waive the 100 AUD application fee! I'm soo grateful, I Think in return, I should really study hard to improve my english and my competency by using it in my everyday life, and remember to write one or two essays everyday to enhance my writing skill.

Though I'm very lazy today, I've only heard that BBC world news for just a few minutes, and instead of watching NHK news, I'm stuck in watching celestial movies, but I do hope that I can get a better time-management tomorrow.

Kolam Susu
Pool of Milks

- Original lyrics by : Koes Plus
-Translated to english by : Ameey

Bukan lautan, hanya kolam susu
(It is not ocean, but it's a pool of milks)
Kail dan jala cukup menghidupimu
(a bait and net is all enough to make you live)
Tiada badai tiada topan kau temui
(There is no storm neither typhoon to face in here)
Ikan dan udang datang menghampirimu
(All fish and shrimps will coming down to follow you)

Orang bilang tanah kita tanah surga
(People always says that our land is from heaven)
Tongkat kayu dan batu jadi tanaman
(A stick of woods and rocks will turn into a plant) 2x

*Repeat all over again*

-Homework : translating a song- *mission completed*
:D

This is a very nice song that makes me smile everytime i heard it... :) we should be veerrryyyy thankful to God by giving us a chance to live in this BEAUTIFUL, SUPERB, and AMAZING land of INDONESIA. :)

Today is my first day on taking english course again, it's been a long time though, the last time I took it was for TOEFL preparation when i'm in class XII in Bandung city. This time I took another english course for IELTS preparation. My teacher's name is Mursyid, he's a graduate from USA, and he had another graduat from Australia too. He gave us so many cool tips for taking this IELTS preparation.

  1. IETLS test purposes was NOT to test our knowledge, instead, it's a test to measure our ability to communicate in English Language
  2. If you used to take TOEFL test, then you are accustomed to study grammars and such thing, but in IELTS, what you need is "English Instict", so it needs a lot of practice and habituation to get that ability.
  3. Most of IELTS high score pursuer have ever try to do this test for once, but, to increase that former score, British council had determined that we have to learn english at least for 200 hours to get a plus of 1 point! so learn it earnestly!
  4. Overcome your nervousness in front of the accessor, remember, our accessor is also a human being!
  5. Be confident! your accessor could sense your fear and nervousness, and that would lower your score down.
  6. Make yourself a target homework :
    1. Read at least one article from newspaper, books, or journals (since most of IELTS takers are for academical purposes, we must find a formal article! do not find it from comics or novels)
    2. Listen to an english news at least once a day, a BBC news or English Breaking news from metroTV would be helpful
    3. After finding an article or a news, resume what you've learn from the news, and wrote it down! It will enhance your essay writing ability too!
    4. Speak up with yourself in front of the mirror, or find someone to talk to. Enhance your speaking skill in introducing yourself, talking about your individual interest, and history, and try to find a group discussion to discuss about particular topics that will need many point of view and also comparable.
So, I've done my homework essay for today, (horray!) I hope I can be consistent in writing more essays about my everyday life and many more topics.

See you tomorrow!
